Baby A was really into running laps around the kitchen island tonight.  I think all together he ran about 10.  Phew. Haha, what a silly guy.  Check out the video of his last few laps.

13 Months Old

Yesterday Ardan turned 13 months!  He is 21 lbs 3 oz and 31 inches tall.  He is signing, saying parts of words and literally running down the hall.  He loves books, one of his favorites if Pat the Christmas Bunny (or any book with "bells and whistles").

First Words

About a month ago Ardan started saying parts of words in recognition of objects. I didn't realize that these actually did count as his first words (per the coach of our toddler class)!  He says "ka" for book as he digs through the book baskets for something for us to read.

He also rambles "mama" when he walks up to me and "wa" for water.  He has also been using lots of "ba" sounds in reference to ball or bath and maybe even Berk!  His "dada" is coming along for Daddy too.  We are working on consistency and still working on his baby sign language.  He can sign 'all done', 'more', and 'diaper' and 'bath'.

His favorite animal sounds are that of a goat and a crow (which Papa Sam helped him to learn over their Easter visit.)  He likes to mimic them too.

We are so proud of our little man.

Ardan is growing so fast.  He has been using boosters seats instead of high chairs at restaurants.

Ardan has been loving his big boy scooter.  he is finally tall enough to  ride it on his own.

Ardan loved chasing bubbles that Papa Sam and DD made for him.  This is definitely one of my favorite pictures of them trying to catch them.

Johnson Fam Visit

While Papa Sam, DD, and Uncle Evan were here we had some fun adventures.  We toured Theo Chocolate Factory in Seattle, visited Bainbridge Island for lunch, and Ardan also took Papa Sam and DD to some of his favorite places to play (the Children's Museum and the mall).

 

 They even had goats at the museum.  Ardan loves to make the sound of a goat.

Happy Easter - Johnson Grands Visit

We had a great Easter with gorgeous weather (70's and sunny a rare occurrence this time of year).  We gave gathering Easter eggs a try.  We also played with bubbles and Ardan's power-wheels tractor.

Growing Up

Ardan has been learning new things.  He likes to wave 'Hi' and 'Bye', mimic animal sounds, give high fives, and feed himself with a spoon.  When feeding himself we are not sure if he is getting to eat much as most of it seems to be on his face and hands, but he sure has a good time doing it.

 Ardan also inherited a big boy train set that he has really had fun with so far.  Thanks Cahills!

Uncle Evan Visits

Uncle Evan came to visit and we took a tour of Safeco Field where the Seattle Mariner's play.  Ardan had a great time!

 We also went to Tumwater Falls park and walked around and saw water falls and salmon hatchery.
