New Baby Keating - name reveal

We have decided on a name for new baby Keating!

Nolan Fitzpatrick Keating.

Nolan (Irish meaning 'noble') Fitzpatrick (Grandma Johnson's maiden name).

We are counting down the weeks til his arrival with house and organization projects.

Construction Zone

We started a major house project last week...putting in new flooring in the whole house.  Ardan likes to help sweep and vacuum up the mess.  He is one of the crew, and enjoys a snack on a bucket just like a real builder.

Dog food and pickle juice?!?!

Ardan's favorite things this month:  Finding Nemo, minions (from Despicable me), rain puddles, pickle juice, and helping to feed Berkley his food.

I am not sure how we have managed to avoid rain puddles for this long in such a rainy state, but they are no longer a stranger.  He loved splashing in them with his galoshes so much today I basically had to brag him inside to dry off.

Little man has been interested in trying pickles but more interested in the juice left in the jar. Yum?  Well I don't think so, but we let him take a little sip and I guess this kid likes vinegar.

Ardan does a great job helping to feed the dogs now too.  He gets Berkley's bowl, helps me measure the food, and calls Berk to eat while placing his bowl.  He thought today he would even try a peice of dog food.  While mommy was yelling "don't eat it" daddy was saying "get the camera, what's the big deal?"  At least we know Ardan should like veal and brown rice...

Play-doh!

We have been having lots of fun with play-doh (it's even home-made by mommy)!

February Snow!

We finally got a decent amount of snow after 2 years.  Ardan learned the word 'snow' first hand and had a blast playing, sledding, and building a snow man.

Messy Fun

I remembered cleaning (and playing) our school desks with shaving cream in grade school.  I thought Ardan and I would give this messy, but clean activity a try.  He was hesitant to get his hands messy at first, staring at me like 'really?' but then he loved it.
