Cleaning up Christmas

Ardan seemed reluctant to help pack up the Christmas decorations today.  He really didn't want the tree to go.  Maybe next year we will get him a little tree like this make-shift one.

Christmas Day! 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas.  Thank you to family and friends who made it so special, even from 3000 miles away!  Ardan has opening presents figured out.  He is very considerate with the ripped wrapping paper, always putting each piece in the garbage or handing it to Mom.  We did spend about 4 hours around the tree opening gifts.  Little man tended to get distracted by each toy and took time to play with each one.

 

Christmas Prep

We tackled decorating our first gingerbread house this year. Ardan did a great job!  He helped make Christmas cookies, and decorate the Christmas tree.  It is also the season to indulge a bit in yummy food, even a fresh loaf of sourdough bread.

Game time

We love family game nights.  Ardan's favorite games are Loopin' Louie and Hungry, Hungry Hippos.  Dice games are also fun he says.   And sometimes baseball requires a colander helmet.

Mom

At some point in the last few weeks I went from being 'Mama' to 'Mom' hmm. I didn't know my toddler was 1 going on 13.

Popcorn nights

Little Chef

We have a little chef in our midst.  Ardan thinks Bananas and tomatoes should be heated.  He loves helping make his eggs for breakfast too.
