NNK for a month 2015 Pt.1

Just a few pictures from the first half of our vacation in Virginia.

We went on a pirate ship adventure out of Annapolis. Ardan got dressed up and even got some tattoos to go hunt for treasure out of Annapolis Harbor. He even got to take home some treasure. After our ship ride we had a yummy picnic at one of the parks in Annapolis with Uncle Evan, Aunt Camille, and Abigail. The kids had a blast on the play place.

Here is Nolan sitting in his mommy's rocking chair from when she was little. Ardan helped Oppie do some construction work to his play house.

We are so lucky we got to spend so much time with Papa Joe! The boys just love him!

Aunt Dottie and Uncle Lee came to visit for a weekend and we also went fishing. Check the "Fishing Adventure" post from May 19, 2015 for those pictures.

Play date in Virginia Beach with Kristin, Colt, Blaine (and Annie the dog). Nolan was so gentle petting Annie, he really loves puppies!

Visiting Aunt Marie in Richmond, VA for a yummy lunch. The boys just wanted to play on the stairs the whole time. Such a novel idea since we don't have any at our house.

While traveling to our many adventures, Ardan must not only take his backpack of toys, but also hold it in his lap the entire drive.

Nolan Walking Videos!!

Nolan has perfected his walking skills while at Oppie and DD'S house!

Finally getting around to posting some awesome walking videos of him. He can make it so far these days! And he loves every minute of it. His favorite time to pracitce is 8-10PM. He is turning into a quite a night owl, much to his mommy's dismay.

A day on the farm

We took a trip down to the Barnes' farm (family friends) today to see all the baby animals. Chicks, piglets, lambs. Ardan's favorite was feeding the pigs and Nolan's favorite was petting the dog. Nolan even got to ride on an original hand crafted Tiffany rocker, built by Tiffany Yatchts, while Ardan played with some heavy machinery inside.

Nolan Nearly 1!

Nolan turns 1 next month! He loves to walk, throw balls, and eat all foods. He loves to talk and be silly, open and close cabinets and turn lights on and off. He loves yo clap his hands and give high fives. We have been going a mile a minute since Nolan got motivated to walk 1.5 weeks ago. He watches everything you do and mimics just as well. He gets tickled pink when he does big boy things. He gives the best hugs too!

Fishing trip!

We had an awesome fishing trip on the Potomac River yesterday. Nolan stayed home with DD and Aunt Dottie while the rest of us caught rockfish and prim. Ardan did great. He even brought in the first rockfish, which was the biggest one we caught all day at 23 inches! We loved cat catching the little perch too since they were quick to bite.

Nolan at 11 months!

Nolan is 11 months old today! He is 30 1/4" tall and 20 lbs. We have a stand-in teddy bear for this month's picture since Nolan elected to travel to Virginia with Scout instead of his soccer bear. We are enjoying a month at Oppie and DD's. Nol has been motivated to practice his walking skills the last few days. He loves pretty much all foods, but his favorites are avacado, beans, and pears. In pictures he looks more and more like his daddy!

Farm time

Oppie, DD, and great Uncle Joe took Ardan and Nolan to a farm bbq last weekend. Ardan rode a horse for the first time and Nolan spilled beans and lemonade on Oppie.

Shark teeth hunt

We went down to Stradford Hall on the Potomac River, Virginia and went hunting for sharks' teeth. Ardan had a blast playing in the water and finding yellow rocks. And Nolan just wanted to eat rocks.
