Ardan's favorite things

As a now seasoned toddler, Ardan would like up share his favorite things at age 2:
Color: Blue, because everything is blue, that is the only color he can say or chooses to say ;-)
Movie: Frozen, it just came out on DVD and was an instant hit with the snowman and reindeer
Snack: wheat thins and raisins, not together
Food: BBQ chicken (at least this week)
Sport: Soccer
Craft: Play doh
Toy: Pop up tunnel
Book: Bedtime Bugs, a pop up book
He also understands possession...this is Mommy's, this is Daddy's, and he constantly points to everything and makes sure we know whose it is.
Chore: Swiffering, carrying the laundry basket
Character: Mickey Mouse
Animal sound: oink
He is awesome at all of his animal sounds! Ask him about an elephant, he does a great one!

Tunnel Fun

Shout out to Auntie Allison for this birthday gift for A that has provided us with hours of fun so far.  Even Berkley has gone through it a few times ;)

Ardan Birthday Celebrations

Ardan had a great 2nd birthday party last week/weekend.  He had a blast opening presents.  We did a Curious George theme party, as Ardan is a monkey after all.  A big thanks to family and friends that helped make it special!

Ardan had a great first day of being 2 yesterday, but he is always ready for cuddle time.

Floor Reno cont.

We are over half way finished with the new floors installation.  Here are some shots of the kids enjoying the mess that is our house while the flooring renovation continues.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ardan!

Ardan is 2 years old today and we can hardly believe how fast the time has gone.  He is just under 35 inches tall and 28 lbs.  He loves to kick the soccer ball (like a pro!) and help Daddy with any and all projects.  He loved pretty much all Disney animated movies, especially Finding Nemo, Cars, and Monsters Inc..  He is getting used to the idea of having another baby in a few months and being a big brother.  He loves to have a surprised expression when you ask him questions and his words/sounds are coming along.  He continues to be "helpful" in the kitchen and when feeding the dogs.

We have been having gorgeous weather here the last few days and have been playing outside a lot with the dogs.  He has also helped Mommy plant flowers.  We have also been visiting local parks with play areas.

We had his favorite breakfast today, cinnamon buns and scrambled eggs.  He opened just a few of his birthday gifts after breakfast.  We are having a small celebration for his birthday this weekend and will of course post more pictures.
