A Keating Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas this year thanks to family and friends.  We had an early start to the day at 7 AM, still dark in Washington at that hour, but the kids were excited!  We opened stockings and gifts much quicker this year, keeping ourselves on the task at hand, and saving most of the playing for after breakfast.  The boys got lots of new cute clothes, and toys of course!  So far Ardan's favorites are a drum set and a play fishing set, and a tablet.  Nolan is loving his new blocks from Nana and Pop Pop, but mostly his favorite would have to be the banana shaped toothbrush.  He loves cleaning his one tooth! Hehe.  We got to talk to most of the family via Skype and the boys' showed off their new toys and Nolan showed off his walking and crawling skills.  An amazing 2014!

Nolan is 6 months old

Happy 6th months baby Nolan!  The time seems to be flying by.  Nolan is 17 lbs and 27 inches tall.  He loves to laugh and smile.  Mostly he loves trying to walk and watching his big brother.  He seems interested in real food, so he will probably get to try some soon!  He is a strong boy with a happy disposition.

'Tis the Season

To make sugar cookies, decorate gingerbread houses and see Santa Claus.  Santa Claus came through the neighborhood on a fire truck, Ardan's favorite!  Ardan and I had a great time cutting our sugar cookies and decorating with sprinkles and icing.  Our gingerbread house was quite a master piece.  Ardan mostly just wanted to eat all of the pieces, but did help with a lot of the decorating when he wasn't sneaking a lick of icing.

Ardan and I snapped the wish bone from our Thanksgiving turkey.  Ardan won, and probably wished for snow to build a snowman!

Look whose standing

Nolan has been practicing pulling himself up and with help from mom or dad loves to walk.  This kid just doesn't want to slow down.

Nolan and the library

Nolan really likes watching all the big kids in Ardan's toddler story time.  He got in on some of the play time today too!

In the Potatos

This guy can always make you smile.

Someone is a little too mobile for his own age (not even 6 months).  He found some mashed potatoes to play in.  "When do I get to eat some real foods like this mom?"

Silly boys

The boys are loving Crazy Forts!  Boys club meeting...

Starting December out right by watching a Christmas movie with popcorn, of course.

Icey

What's up with this ice stuff and why are my toys stuck in there? Says Ardan.

Thanksgiving 2014

We had a good Thanksgiving.  Ardan helped make the pecan pie,

but refused to eat any of the delicious meal we made.  We decided he should remember his attitude with this picture....

Nolan was of course all smiles this holiday and hope to try some real food come Christmas!  We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
