Christmas toys

We had an amazing Christmas!  It was wonderful having Oppie and DD here to help with the madness that is 2 lively boys  opening and playing with a mountain of toys! Thanks to everyone for making it a great day!

Preschool Christmas Sing-a-long

We attended our first Christmas sing-a-long at Ardan's preschool last week.  It was amazing!  The kids sang lots of songs and it was quite entertaining seeing all of the 3 year olds so excited.

The Keatings' annual Tacky Christmas party was so fun.  It is great spending holidays with good friends, food, and fun.

Another day, another fort

Nolan nearly 18 months old

Nolan will be 18 months old in a few days (1 1/2! Where did the time go?).  He is 31 inches tall and weighs 23 lbs.  He loves to dance, chase, and play with his big brother.  His favorite activities are to read books and play with Play-Doh (but let's be real, he just wants to eat it).  He has been taking a real interest in more craft type things lately, like coloring and cooking.  He loves animals, most of all ducks and dogs.  He wants to pet every dog that we see and notices every bird in the sky.

His vocabulary and speech is going crazy!  He is always asking "watch a movie" or packing a bucket and saying "bye" to pretend to go to work.  If he is not laughing at Ardan or jumping in his bed with Ardan,  he is rambling on about lights or pretty much anything and everything.  He steals my heart everyday!!

 While I was taking Nolan's picture, Ardan also wanted everyone to know how old he is...3 going on 4.

Christmas Tree Shopping

We went on an adventure today with our friends/family/neighbors Emily and Louis to pick out, and cut down their Christmas tree.  We had a blast seeing goats, and even a reindeer (which we dubbed "Comet" because he responded to that name).  We went on a tractor ride out to the Christmas tree field and Emily picked the perfect tree for the boys to cut down.  Ardan helped cut down the tree and was super excited to yell "timber!" when the tree was falling.  Such a fun day!

Prepping for Christmas

On Thanksgiving Day we decorated the tree.  Ardan helped put the star on top.  We started decorating the entire tree, but realized the ornaments looked too good to the kids to not play with (and break) so now all the ornaments on on the top 1/3rd of the tree, out of reach of the little fingers.

Santa Claus came through the neighborhood on a fire truck.  Ardan was so excited!!  He knows the number "twenty-five" really well now.
