Smoky Mountain cabin

We cancelled our crowded Myrtle Beach trip this year for a cabin in the North Carolina Smoky mountains and were not disappointed. (Social distancing approved!)  Above is the view from our deck of the Smoky Mountains.  The tallest peak is Mount Pisgah.  Cabin in Fletcher, NC.

Happy 6th birthday Nolan!!

Growing up before our eyes.  We enjoyed a small get together (because of the the corona virus of course).  Oppie, DD and one of Nolan's school friends helped us celebrate.  Home made pinata and lemon poke cake.

Lola and Ardan

Ardan made a pillow fort around Lola and she tolerated it.

Paper mache

This guy wanted a pinata for this birthday so we decided to do some homemade paper mache.  It turned out great. And was very strong!  See Nolan's birthday post for more.

End of school 2019-2020 (Kinder and 2nd)

Wow this was quite the school year.  Starting March 12 school was out to due a county water contamination and then they kiddos never went back due to the COVID-19 corona-virus.  It was a year to remember.  Mom did her best with home schooling and we played lots of board games and got to see our teachers via computer.

So excited to share that both boys received the "Gator Award" from their teachers for this year!!  One per class is given out to highlight the best overall student for their kindness, respect, willingness to learn and willingness to help others.   So proud of the work they put in to receive these awards.  Our hearts are full.
