We interrupt this family(kid update) blog for a fun girls' trip to Victoria, British Columbia! Auntie Allison and mommy went on a long weekend to Canada while us boys (and the pups) stayed home with daddy. Everyone had a blast.
Mommy diary:
After arriving via the Clipper Vacations ferry from Seattle we took a rickshaw to our AirBnB (which was awesome!). We had tea at The Fairmont Empress Hotel, then went down to the Fisherman's Wharf to check out an array of eclectic house boats and floating restaurants. So cool! We took the cutest little water taxi back to the downtown area for dinner.
The next day we rented bikes (and helmets) and took a ride through downtown and then along a quiet road up the coast and to Craigdarroch Castle. We enjoyed views of the water, mountains, boats, and also dogs playing with driftwood on the rocky beaches! We even met a vizsla names Luka.
That night we headed out to Butchart Gardens via shuttle for beautiful views, a picnic dinner, and fireworks.
What a fun trip! We loved Victoria. The charm of all the hanging baskets downtown and fun shops and activities, yummy food, amazing views and nice people. We will definitely go back sometime and take the family (and on a sea plane tour)!
